Those clown masks really remind me of what Infectious Grooves used for Groove Family Cyco.
And am I the only one that is really boggled by the fact that Carrot Top is freaking ripped? Or that you apparently found a picture of him working out while nude?
Infectious Grooves was definitely influenced by Killer Klowns. On a side note, while Infectious Grooves was ok, I miss Suicidal Tendencies.
I guess Carrottop was tired of all those people making fun of him. I went for the scariest picture of him I could find, which was him with low ride pants. LOL
I have a horror movie suggestion, if you have seen it. It’s called “Valentine”, based on the novel of the same name by Tom Savage. It is nothing like the book, turning a mystery/thriller into a slasher, and I believe the characters are all different as well. So is the motivation, the deaths, the cleverness… it might as well be its own movie.
One of the stars is David Boreanaz, aka Angel from “Buffy the Vampire Slayer” and…”Angel”. I’d hate to spoil it, but he is the killer. He dresses as cupid to kill his victims. I like to look at it as Angel going undercover to kill vampires, because most of the deaths I remember resemble the ways to kill a vampire- decapitation, crossbow to the heart, electrocution…that could burn a vampire… I do not know. It seems way better than murders a group of women because they rejected him at a school dance.
I know Valentine quite well. I was planning on doing it for Valentine’s day this year but decided to hold off on it for now. I do intend on doing it at some point, just not sure when.
I saw it in the theater way back and rather enjoyed it. The kills were cool and the girls were really good looking. I’m a huge Buffy and Angel fan so I was hoping this would help Boreanaz get some more big screen roles because I thought he did a good job. The movie didn’t do so well and he is still doing TV work with Bones. (not a bad gig at all)
I saw him at the King of Prussia mall years ago in PA. He was there to visit his dad, the local weatherman Dave Roberts. Very nice fellow.
He did it uncredited. It was the director himself (Stephen Chiodo) who said it was him. Leonard was working for them at the time and they needed someone large enough to fit in the Klown outfit.
Thanks for the great review! I have always loved this film, I watch it all the time. In fact I just watched it at DISHOnline.com a few nights ago. One of my DISH coworkers asked me “What the hell are you watching?†I explained what was going on, she seemed intrigued. I am pretty sure she went home and watched it that night. I just found out they are making some kind of sequel. I hope they don’t mess it up by trying to fix things that weren’t exactly broken.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it. Killer Klowns is such an awesome movie.
The Chiodo brothers have been in the industry long enough and it seems they understand why the original is such a cult favorite. I think the sequel is in good hands.

I watched this movie way before I watched It, which may explain why Pennywise wasn’t all that freaky to me. These clowns terrified me as a little kid!
I think Tim Curry’s performance as Pennywise helped to make it stand out more than the makeup. However on looks alone, the Killer Klowns win.
gr8t review man but i was checking on Brett Leonard’s IMdb page and Killer Clowns wasn’t on his profile

my bigest childhood scare was pennywise and mayby the spider
Just a note: the farmer is played by the great tv actor Royal Dano.
I did not know that!
This is the movie that made me afraid of clowns. Nuff said.
I think this movie either made people afraid of clowns or reinforced their fear.
