Its very rare for me to follow a tv show as it airs but I did follow Bionic Woman every week. Still can’t understand the ire that show generated. I think Lone Gunman was a good bad show. I actually don’t think its bad at all but I feel like Harsh Realms requires some renewed attention. Terry O’Quinn was better in that show than Lost. Last weekend I binged on a show called The River which was pretty good.
As far as direct to video sequels goes some of the Hellraiser sequels are pretty decent. I really enjoyed Hellworld and Deader even though both of those don’t seem to have much to do with the greater Hellraiser world.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is pretty much American Dad in True Lies. Think about it.
Ever play Gallerians for playstation? It sounds a lot like Psi Ops. Gallerians is pretty decent but also didn’t get a sequel. Did Summoner ever get a sequel?
I agree with you about TMNT. For a ninja turtles movie that one was kinda dark and serious.
If I remember correctly, Bionic Woman had huge ratings when the pilot aired. Then the complainers came and it went away. I liked it and was sad that they cancelled it so quickly. It was how I felt you should do a reboot of an old TV show.
Lone Gunman was a lot of fun. I think it was a little ahead of its time, most people weren’t really keen to “nerdspeak” then.
Harsh Realm was a great concept and a good show.
I’ve played Gallerians and while I like the game, the controls need work. Psi-ops was just perfect. Summoner did get a sequel but it was different than the first game.
Would like to see a retrospective episode of the Elm Street series as a Halloween episode although you would probably do the Friday the 13th series.
Horror retros might have to wait until next year. I have 2 others in the mix right now. MST3k and Troma.
