A few reasons for hate:
T3 just compared to T2. That alone is ard for any movie let a lone a series in the same franchise.
Salvation: McG, it being PG-13, noticeable cuts to bring it down to PG-13, McG, Welcome to the jungle motorcycle scene, terminator water snakes, douche batman voice same one used for John Conner by Bale, plot swerve that would have made sense being switched to some crappy ending…..McG he just oozes crap.
Also in my option they needed more practical effects not CGI up for everything. After seeing Iron Man 3 use some of the impressive scenes non cgi (free fall scene was not green screen and it was the best scene of the movie)
T3 had big shoes to fill indeed. I still thought it was a very well done action film. Not on par with T2 but that is one of the best action films ever made.
I only ever saw Salvation unrated and I liked it a lot. It was cool seeing more into Skynet and I thought Bale was awesome as Conner. Also, the Arnold cameo was amazing. The original ending pissed people off so they switched it.

I might do one of those some day. I don’t get why folks don’t like them.
T3 was pretty awful. I especially hated how they decided to play Dr. Silberman’s mental collapse for laughs. It just felt like a cash-in.
