After tallying up the results of seriously hundreds of requests, here is the top 20 most requested.
If you look to the left you should see the poll. Some really good ones in there and apparently since you like to see me suffer, Battlefield Earth and The House of the Dead. Dear lord, don’t make me do both! I had a ton of requests for Karate Kiz when the video of the “worst death ever” went viral a few months back. (in case you are wondering what that movie is)
Since I know some of you like to know, number 21 was The Crippled Masters.

Although this is not a vote, I like the more literal translation of the Greek better for a title, “The Golden Girl of Karate”. It sounds more like a title than “Golden Karate Girl”. Like “The Man with the Golden Gun” and “The Man with the Golden Arm” vs. “Golden Gun Man” and “Golden Arm Man”.
Great to see Krull up for consideration(I actually saw that one when it came out in theaters and boy,is it cheese-tastic!) along with my pick,Demolition Man. I’ll watch all of the videos,of course,regardless of which ones win but I so pity you,Cecil,if Battlefield Earth makes the cut. I watched BE on cable and it felt like an eternity!
Speaking of BE,I have a funny story about it. When the movie came out,I was working in a bookstore and that Saturday,we received a call from the publisher of L. Ron Hubbard’s novels to inquire if we had any copies of the book in our store,where was it on the shelf and did we need more.
Publishers checking on new releases isn’t that unusual(mainly,their reps do that)but it was weird for them to call on a weekend. I gave them the standard “yes,yes,no” and hung up.
That wasn’t the end of it,however. They KEPT ON CALLING for days afterward! My boss had to finally tell them to stop and believe me,we didn’t have anyone interested in getting that book. Too bad that persistence didn’t pay off for the movie:)
I believe it. Scientologists are incredibly persistent.
I actually had the displeasure of seeing Battlefield Earth in the theater. I remembered hearing how Travolta was so happy with how close the movie matched the book. He was proud of this?!

I chose the same four films. I was going to pick Lifeforce, since I’m curiously planning to see it (if I can pull my ass away from Stargate for 5 minutes!), but I just needed to pick TMNT 2. 🙂
I was torn between No Holds Barred and a movie I completely overlooked in my suggestions, Krull. But the wrestling fan in me beat out the fantasy fan. Plus it’s a movie I originally requested so I’d feel bad if I didn’t vote for it.
