I remember watching this, but I never remember anything about it. I don’t know if I find it that forgettable, if I wasn’t paying enough attention, or if I failed my SAN check. I have the same issue with Lost Highways.
Lost Highway is a challenging film. Personally, I find it to be the best David Lynch film outside of Wild at Heart (which would make an excellent GBF, by the way), but I won’t say that it didn’t take me a few days to figure it out.
Prince of Darkness, on the other hand, never really grabbed me the way They Live, Escape from New York, and In the Mouth of Madness did.
I have always felt that this was the most underrated of the Apocalypse trilogy but I really enjoyed it. Just like Carpenter made the best HP Lovecraft movie that I’ve ever seen he made one of the best Christian Apocalypse movies too. Keep up the good work.
