How can it be Death Race 2 if its a prequel? Well, I suppose I’d be more interested in a movie that has a numer in the title rather than something that just had a colon and a dumb subtitle like “Resurrection” or “Revolution”.
I know but there wasn’t a way to do it without the sub header or a number. (Death Race -1 would have been silly) Death Race 2 is just death race 2 but 3 is Death Race 3: Inferno. Still awesome.
I didn’t care much for the Statham reboot but the sequels were great that are much better than the Fast and Furious films just that they have been delegated to the straight to DVD market that even the new Need for Speed film is getting a theatrical release.
DR 2-3 are high quality. I was stunned because I didn’t expect them to be as good as they were. Kind of like when Wrong Turn 2 came out. Very much worth your time.
I was delighted with how John Dies at the End turned out and am so looking forward to the possible sequel that was alluded to in the commentary on the DVD. Th only downside was that I saw it a year too late. It was playing in my area a year before the theatrical run at a film festival. Don Coscarelli was there…
The person I saw it with hated it (“That was one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life.”) but I thought it was brilliant. If it weren’t for the utter surpirse that was Pain & Gain, it would be my favorite movie of the year so far.
If you have any questions, read the book. Everything is explained to some degree. Read the sequel too. David Wong is one of the best authors working. I, myself, am looking forward to his next book (without John and Dave), Futuristic Violence and Fancy Suits.
I didn’t like Ozombie that I thought would be at least decent from the comical premise but they did not do anything with the Osama is a zombie premise and turned out to be a boring lacklustre straight to DVD movie that felt like an Asylum film.
They didn’t do anything with Osama being a zombie that felt like they had a standard low budget zombie flick script and just added in Osama as a means to sell and promote the film.

Sean “Walking Spoiler” Bean? Cool. I’ll have to check that out. I liked the original and I even liked the remake.
lol

From what I gather the second book is pretty much a go.
Loved the movie and as soon as I’m finished with my current book, I’m moving to read this.

Oh, it wasn’t as bad as an Asylum movie. It wasn’t great but it was a decent little flick made for next to nothing. I enjoyed it.

Yeah but I rather enjoyed the characters and it was a somewhat unique setting. No, it didn’t break any new ground but I liked it for what it was.
