I don’t know if it’s on instant, but your mention of Adventureland reminded me of another coming-of-age movie that’s worth watching: Interstate 60. It’s a weird road movie, but surprisingly good.
“Hybrid” sounds like a movie I might want to check out. I remember there was an episode of “Power Rangers” with a shape shifting monster that turned itself into a taxi cab to lure and capture people. It sticks out in my memory because it had more of a procedural set up like one of the more adult monster of the week shows like “Buffy” or “The X-Files”. Unfortunately the half hour runtime nixed any chance of exploring the concept further, so I’m pleased to hear that this has a similar gimmick and an isolated impound lot sounds like a fantastic setting.
It’s pretty cool overall. You could tell they didn’t have a giant budget but some of the action sequences were awesome. They did a good job of fleshing it out and it never felt ridiculous. It worked very well and I hope they can make another.
At the Earth’s Core is one of those movies I wish I had seen as a kid. McClure made two other Burroughs adaptions with the same studio, The Land that Time Forgot and The People that Time Forgot.
I think Kristen Stewart kind of “became” the character of Bella. Kind of like how Madonna and Gweneth Paltrow all of the sudden speak with an english accent. Either that or she smoked a ton of weed and can’t remember how to act.

Huh, I missed that one. I’ll check it out. It’s not on instant but they have the disk.

While it is more silly entertainment now, seeing it as a kid was like entering a whole new world.
Thanks dude.
I really enjoyed the super hybrid and the born to race movies. Both had that 80s felling in their respective genres.
Adventureland was a good movie, and yes, kristen stewart wasnt so bad in this one and Into the Wild. Maybe just twilight ruined his career.
Speaking of ruin-career-movies, any review of any star wars movie? ewooks maybe?
Again, Thank you very munch.
Excellent, glad you liked them.

Planning on doing both Ewok movies at some point.
