In this episode of Good Bad Flicks I discuss the often overlooked vampire film Dracula 2000. It’s a fun vampire film with some good twists and a great cast.
I have never heard of Vitamin C before, and that sounds like something I have no interest in.
Judas is Dracula… that does explain all the vulnerabilities neatly. You can even tie running water to baptism in the river. Some people scream that silver is for werewolves and not vampires, but to my knowledge in folklore silver is used against all sorts of unholy creatures. I’ve read that the origin of why mirrors reveal vampires is that for a long time the reflecting surface in mirrors was made out of silver. There’s a nice scene in the Blade series where a vampire is killed by stabbing with a shard from an old mirror.
Vitamin C is an oddity. She started out in an alt/punk band Eve’s Plumb (which I really liked) in the 90s and when that didn’t take off she re-invented herself as a pop star Vitamin C and had pretty decent success.
