Awesome revenge. Just perfect. And actually a good use of “Noooooooooooooo!”
That tractor beam effect is actually kind of neat. Don’t think I’ve seen “grabby lasers” before.
Ouf, yeah. A delay like that is pretty deathly. Especially considering the leaps and bounds special effects took during those years.
Kurt Fuller has got to be one of the kings of Hey, That Guy out there, because I recognized him instantly, but couldn’t place him. I think I probably know him from one of his jillion TV appearances.
Their Teri Hatcher impersonator may have been impressive, but she wasn’t _spectacular_. ;D
I haven’t seen the movie so take this with a large grain of salt, but it doesn’t seem like they really do much with the space/lunar setting. Nobody really looks like they’re moving in 1/6 earth’s gravity, no radiation or solar flares, no careful recycling of gases and materials and food management, etc. Until that scene at the end of the review I had no clue the filmmakers even did _anything_ to play with the opportunities provided by the radically different environment.
The whole “moon” setting is just window dressing to get a scifi audience to pick it up.
How different would it have been if the whole thing had just been set on Antarctica?
I think they just wanted to do an isolated environment and faking the moon was cheaper than faking an arctic base. They had some moments where space played a factor but just didn’t have enough money to really flesh it out completely.

“Christian Woman” – Now, that’s a blast from the past. “Bloody Kisses” was one of my favourite Albums back then 🙂
It still is one of mine. 🙂
Yep, it’s pretty awesome.

If Teri Hatcher did the Fusion Dance with Persis Khambatta, that girl is what you would get.

Kurt Fuller is fabulously hilarious these days playing the most likely certifiably insane Woody the coroner on Psych.
He’s great…I love that he showed up in Psych it is the perfect show for him.
