Jackie Kong the director of Blood Diner, The Underachievers, Night Patrol, and The Being is doing a Kickstarter for a new movie called Coexistence. It looks to be a sort of spin on the classic Romeo and Juliet tale.
They have an impressive cast lined up with Rutger Hauer, Daryl Hannah, John Savage, Nick Krause, and Bella Thorne.
While they have a ways to go its not impossible. Kong is a solid director and it would be awesome to see her doing something new after all these years. So if you have a few bucks please think about putting them into the production. Remember, if the Kickstarter doesn’t reach its goal you don’t get charged (unlike some other crowdfunding sites).
So check this out! Maybe if this goes over well we can convince Jackie to give us a Blood Diner 2.
“Remember, if the Kickstarter doesn’t reach its goal you don’t get charged (unlike some other crowdfunding sites).”
I didn’t know that. I assumed it was basically a risk investment like standard films.
Honestly I don’t think they made a good pitch for the film in the trailer with the only real draw being the cast that is attached to it and the short period of time they want to raise the budget of $1,750,000 seems way top ambitious.
Even the Superman Lives documentary got no where near the target of this film although it did got over its goal of $98,000 at that Kickstarter campaign was featured on IGN.

What I meant was that if they didn’t get the asking point, no one gets charged. There still is the risk involved with production so people still need to be aware of who and what they are backing. Every now and then you will hear a kickstarter horror story where the whole thing fell apart but so far I have yet to be burned. (and I have donated to over 30)
i like tom and jerry the movie ps. could you review texas chainsaw massacre 2
i gues that means no
I think in January he does requests like he did this year where the most requested films are selected in a poll where the top 4 are chosen depending on how much votes they get.
I don’t think he is ever going to review Tom and Jerry film or Blues Brothers 2000 as they are not good bad flicks just bad flicks. 🙂
Nostalgia Critic reviewed the Tom and Jerry film.

You are correct, thanks John.
The bottom line is at the end of the day I have to feel strongly enough to do the work that it takes to make these. While I like Tom and Jerry the cartoon I have no interest in doing the movie.
