Really? I gathered in enjoyed (Spoilers). They revealed the John kept Amanda hidden from Detective Hoffman for some time in the previous film. So its understandable he would do so with others and I was surprised by the big reveal at the end. The film kept me guessing. I had no idea who did it. If anything I felt like this film was just a revisit to a story and a setting. Some nostalgia but not driven by it.
