Oooh, these look good. I’ve seen Wolf Creek, loved it, so I may just check out Wolf Creek 2.
Here’s some recommendations on my own. I have no idea if they’re on Netflix (I watch these both on Vimeo) but it they are, check them out:
Harbinger Down: This a film about a couple of grad students who go on a fish trawler to study some whales. However, they end up finding an iceberg of an old soviet space shuttle, which was used to experiment on tardigrades. The tardigrades have mutated and begin kill the crew one by one. This flick was brought to us by StudioADI to show off practical effects and honestly they put it to great use. It stars Lance Henriksen, who i felt did a great job, as did the rest of the cast. It’s like if the Thing met Silent Hill, it’s worth a watch.
The Sand: This is about h party, a group of hung-over twenty-somethings awake after an all-night graduation party to a seemingly carnivorous beach that devours anything with a heartbeat that touches the sand. I felt it had an interesting premise and while it was a bit lagging in the first half, the second half was awesome as the characters started to work together in order to survive. This film stars Brooke Butler and while I had never seen her in anything before thise, I think she is actually an awesome actress who hopefully has a good future a ahead of her. BE WARNED though, Jamie Kennedy makes a cameo and he plays an atrocious character. Aside from him, the film is worth a watch.
