It begins again, the 4th annual All Request January!
Last year was Howard the Duck, Gremlins 2, Phantasm, and They Live. What will be the winners this year?
For those new to this, here is how it works.
For the next week give me all the movies you want to see me do. You can either list them in the comments of this post, email them to cecil@goodbadflicks.com, or post them on my facebook wall. At the end of a week (11/11) I will take the top 20 most requested videos and put up a voting poll. For the next week after that you can then vote for the top 4 you want to see. That gives me all of December to get the episodes together. (also to track down the movies if I have to)
The top 4 will each get an episode in January 2015.
I try my best to do requests during the year but sometimes for whatever reason, I just can’t get to them all. This is your chance to tell me what you really want to see.
Oh and just to get this out there, these are movies I will NOT be doing even if requested.
Tom and Jerry
Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull
Battlefield Earth
Batman and Robin
Mortal Kombat Annihilation
Anything from Pixar (nothing against them but what else is to be said?)
Give me some good ones!
Okay, I don’t know if you did this already, but I’d like to request Ceremony (1994) by Joe Castro. It’s a pretty crappy movie, but it scared the BEJESUS out of me when I was a kid.
My Requests (hope at least one of them makes it this year):
Ghostbusters 2
Transformers The Movie (Original Animated Movie from the 80s)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3
Texas Chainsaw 3D
Firday the 13th Remake (better than many think!)
Sry forgot about one:
Doctor Who 1996 TV Movie
He already did Texas Chainsaw 3D in May. He also hates the Ft13 remake, as do I.
Personally,
TerrorVision

Gladiator
Limitless
Blade 1-3
28 Days Later
The Last Airbender
Mean Girls
Big Fish
Here are some of my requests
The Ambulance 1990 Staring Eric Roberts and James Earl Jones this is a really funny but also weary exiting horror thriller
Freejack 1992 Staring Emilio Estevez and Rene Russo I think it would be a fitting movie to review seing that Dan Gilroy the guy that wrote the screenplay for the movie is enjoying majer success with his new thriller movie Nightcrawler the he wrote and directed and you should really watch Nightcrawler
Laser Mission 1989 staring Brandon Lee and Debi A. Monahan this is a really cheesy action spy movie but it is freaking awesome and the late great Brandon Lee was in it so it is a prefect target
Steel Frontier 1995 staring Joe Lara and Brion James this is a really good and underated post apocalyptic movie from PM Entertainment Group and it also has allot of Fallout joke material before there even was a Fallout game series
The Core
Dreamcatcher
Sphere.
But mainly I would like to see the core

Respective of Takeshi “The Beat†Kitano, Woo-ping Yuen, Cynthia Rothrock, or the Andy Sidaris films.
The Car
Deep Rising
Nightbreed (directors cut that was finally just released)
Lifeforce (exploring episode would be nice)
Invaders From Mars (Tobe Hooper remake)
Dragonslayer (another exploring episode)
From Beyond
In the Mouth of Madness (definitely an exploring episode)
Cyborg 1 & 3
Knights (1993)
Nemesis 1-4
Now, cyborgs aside, I would really like to see an “Intensity (TV movie) vs. High Tension” episode.
-wishmaster 1&2
-time cop
-the hand (1981) (especially this one. I mean, a severed hand that goes on its own and kills people. What more can you even want?)
The Invisible Maniac (1990) is fairly unknown, but it’s right up your alley.
Death Wish 3 (1985) is arguably the best (in a GoodBadFlicks kind of way) in the series.
Logan’s Run (1976) is a classic!
Watchers (1988) has Corey Haim and a dog who can act.
Summer School (1987) is just perfect in a 1980s way.
-Wishmaster 1&2
-Time Cop
-Stop or My Mom Will Shoot
-The Hand (1981)
Specially the last one. I mean, a severed hand that goes on its own and kills people. What more can you even want?
– Faust: Love of the Damned
– The Order (aka Sin Eater)
– Daredevil

-Eight legged Freaks

– Dead Alive (Braindead)
– Popeye
– Road House
– Mannequin
– Don’t Tell Mom the Babysitter is Dead
And please, please let this year be the year for:
– Troll 2
Dragonslayer: damn, but this is an underrated movie. Hopefully it’ll get the votes this time!
Alien 3: speaking of under rated
Prophecy trilogy: You already did Legion, after all…
PCU: Generation X’s Animal House
Last Man Standing: or, if you prefer, Omega Red
My god, Steve’s right: In the Mouth of Madness would make a great exploring movie. Scared the shit out of me when I saw it.
And, since I recently saw it and bitched about critics being idiots with it: Creature.
Shit… Omega Doom, not Omega Red. I always mess that up.
Alien 3
Flash Gordon
Jason X
Metamorphosis: The Alien Factor (1990)
Within the Rock (1996)
Lifeforce (1985)
Doomsday (2008)
Deep Rising (1998)
The Babysitter (1995)
Club Dread (2004)
Tuff Turf (1985)
Joyride (1977)
Trick r Treat needs to be done, such an underrated movie that should already be a Halloween classic. Drive Angry also since its the definition of a good bad flick. the commercials made the movie look like garbage and the title sucks. I only watched it because Cecil mentioned it. Also agree with earlier posts that Transformers animated movie and Ghostbusters 2 need done. Also would rather see Alien Resurrection done instead of 3, I think 3 is the worst personally.
Freaked!

Hhhmmm, so many good ones already listed.

2. Flash Gordon (1980) already listed
3. Dragonslayer (1981) already listed
4. Suburbia (1983)
5. Any of the ‘Basket Case’ series.
6. Street Trash (1987)
I’d love to see your take on Tommy Lee Jones’ late 19th century Caribbean pirate adventure movie Nate and Hayes (1983) based veeeeery loosely on a real pirate, “Bully” Hayes. The movie is trying to be like Indiana Jones (even rips off a scene or two like the bridge scene from Indiana 2), but also tries to be its own thing and that leads to having its tone all over the place. Adventurous lighthearted moments followed by eradication of an island (bad guys, pre-World War I Kaiser German Army want to colonize South America), only make the whole thing look weird, awkward and goofy instead of historical and serious. Still, it’s a captivating watch and a must-review.
Another Indiana wannabe with Chuck Norris as a down on his luck, but still savvy adventurer, is the awesome and classic very “B” low budget movie Firewalker from 1986. It features great cast with Louis Gossett Jr. as Chuck’s partner John Rhys-Davies as the villain/ally and Sonny Landham as Inca Indian and actual villain. The budget kills it, but director J. Lee Thompson who made gazillion films with Charles Bronson gives it all he’s got and the chemistry and energy carries the movie. Again, a must-review.
As for Lovecraft, how about a review of Carpenter’s semi-classic In the Mouth of Madness, a movie which has never been reviewed by anyone on the whole freaking Internet (no joke).
Then there’s From Beyond (1986), Stuart Gordon, Jeffrey Combs, Barbara Crampton and Ken Foree classic.
As for Stephen King, when will you review Maximum Overload? You know you want it. 🙂
How about a Bill Pullman movie? There’s visually impressive Brain Dead (1990) aka “Paranoia”, drama/horror/thriller/mystery about paranoia and lobotomy in a mental institution and then there’s The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) set in Haiti during Baby Doc’s brutal 80s dictatorship, a semi-historical horror with Bill and Wes Craven about the dictatorship, voodoo and hallucinations.
Speaking of voodoo and hallucinations, you should also cover Martin Sheen / John Schlesinger’s / Jimmy Smiths L.A. conspiracy thriller with elements of horror The Believers (1987).
Spaceballs is also a must.
Then there’s the PHENOMENAL and completely unknown psychological thriller comedy Frauds (1993) with Hugo Weaving, a meek intense husband who covers for his slightly unhinged wife who may have killed someone and Phil Collins who plays the villain, an eccentric savvy and somewhat childish blackmailer who loves dice and preys on them. No, he doesn’t sing. Direction is especially intense.
Here’s a few stock suggestions – Children of the Corn 3, Carnosaur, Leprechaun in Vegas (aka Leprechaun 3), Highway to Hell and Freaks.
P.S.
How about you do a new series of shorties where you review a video that either features a star or is directed by one? For instance, you could totally do a short review of James Cameron / Kathryn Bigelow cinematic music video for Bil Paxton’s wonderful 80s band Martini Ranch. The video is from 1988 for the song called Reach, it’s western comedy themed with elements of cyberpunk and post-apocalypse. Cameos galore include Paul Rudd, Vasquez from Aliens, Henriksen and Paxton’s future (and current) wife.
Sorry for double-posting.
Forgot about great ludicrous movies like Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection where Billy Drago as the Columbian drug kingpin gives Chuck Norris a run for his money, Seagal’s Alaskan environmentalist adventure On Deadly Ground and the most ridiculous sequel of all the Scanners sequels – Scanners III: The Takeover, about a HOT heiress that uses the substance that creates Scanners as a medicine patch which turns her insane, murderous and obsessed with ruling the world . 🙂 🙂
There’s also a creepy Australian supernatural thriller/horror Mirage from 1990 about a group of teens camping in the desert when black demonic pick up truck arrives and a sadistic psycho with a crossbow begins to stalk them.
Finally, there’s Ghosttown 1988, indie action western horror thriller about a Texas ranger who while looking for a kidnapped girl stumbles upon a literal ghost town where a cursed outlaw reigns and kidnaps living girls to entertain him.
And I second Shock Treatment (1981)
I second both Lifeforce and Freejack, plus how about 1987’s Monster Squad(one of the funniest lines from that involves Dracula and a little girl) or 1992’s Stay Tuned with John Ritter and Pam Dawber?
Monster Squad review would be awesome!

Q
Quite possibly the same things as I mentioned last year but am too lazy to check:
American Ninja (any of the first three)
National Lampoon’s Loaded Weapon 1
Exterminator
Bakshi’s Lord of the Rings.
Thanks for another year of ritzy operation!
Thanks 🙂
Kind of surprised I haven’t done any of the American Ninjas yet. Actually, looking back I am lacking in ninja movies in general. I may have to remedy that in the coming year.
Ah the Ritzy operation. When I first started the site I had only been doing the videos for a few months. I wasn’t sure if I would even still be making them in a year since if a video got 50 views it was huge. Thankfully I got better, found my voice, and my audience.
I keep the Ritzy Operation up there because it makes me laugh and reminds me of when I started. I do like to feel fancy. heh
Brazil
Imaginarum of Dr. Parnassus
Troll1
Troll 3 (The sword of power)
Dark Crystal
Lord of Illusion
Starship Troopers
The Gate
House & House 2
Parents
Night breed
My demon lover
With Friends Like These 1991
The Crater Lake Monster
The Substitute trilogy
I’m completely on board for a Blade Retrospective, Splice was a mess and Tremors would be beautiful.
A Blade retro would be interesting since it was one of the rare R rated Marvel films as well as a movie that helped to usher in the current wave of mega comic book blockbusters.
Spiders (2000)
Surviving the Game (1994)
Resident Evil Apocalypse or any of the RE films
Bridge of Dragons (1999)
Double Team (1997)
Endangered Species/Earth Alien (2003)
The Punisher (2004)
Death Race 2 or 3
Cold Harvest or any other 90’s Gary Daniels film.
I love the 1992 film Nemesis! I would love you to do a video on it!
